            Huts: The Renaissance Of Hutting In Scotland

            Setting up the Architects practice, Quercus Rural Building Design in 2002, in the Scottish Borders, Peter Caunt has become involved in building his own designs and those of others. With themes of energy efficiency and use of natural and locally sourced materials.  He has worked in many techniques including  timber frame, oak post and beam, ICF, SIPS, hemp lime and straw bale.  Mostly for domestic construction projects extending into hut designs for the movement that is reviving hut culture in Scotland.

            • Tom Swift

              I am a filmmaker based in the Scottish Borders and working all over Scotland. Whether it is music videos or documentaries I am fascinated by the stories of the amazing people that I work with.

            • Felicity Bristow

              Felicity studied architecture at Edinburgh College of Art (1993 – 99) and qualified as an architect, practising in Edinburgh until 2008 while also teaching part time at ECA (2003 – 07). In Summer 2016 she completed a MA in Contemporary Art Practice at ECA. Felicity now lives and works as an artist and designer in the Scottish Borders developing her own research-based practice in her WASP’s studio in Selkirk and works part-time for the Creative Arts Business Network (CABN) as their Social media & Projects Assistant.

            • Mary Morrison

              I am an artist based in the Scottish Borders. I share a studio in an old textile mill with 12 other artists. I also work part time for Live Borders managing the Creative Arts Business Network (CABN) which supports professional creatives and organisations in the region. We provide advice and support, run events and develop opportunities for artists of all artforms including local and international residencies and creative labs.
