            Make the Path by Walking

            PRESENTED ON FEB 20, 2019
            IN WINNIPEG @ VOL 37

Graphic novelist and teacher GMB Chomichuk, having worked as a freelancer, has frequently dealt with uncertainty. For him, he sees life as a path that we travel on, and to fight uncertainty we have to determine and bring our future to fruition by traversing these paths on foot. GMB explains what we can learn on our life-long treks and encourages us to keep walking in this motivational talk.

GMB's talk was recorded live at PechaKucha Night Winnipeg Vol. 37, on February 20 2019, at the Park Theatre.

            How To Art

            BY HILMAN OMAR
            @ VOL 6 ON DEC 19, 2015

Hilman Omar, self-taught artist, talked about how a simple drawing made a big difference in his life. He told how the Internet was a treasure trove of information and knowledge, filled with tutorials of every kind where people were willing to provide what they knew free-of-charge.

He pointed things that other artists like himself may come up against like better artists, bitter criticism and lack of motivation but he gave a solution; attitude. Changing his attitude gave him new light and altered his perspectives.
